Rising

Cameron Rising was a two-time All-CIF first-team player at Newbury Park (Calif.) High. He committed to Texas and redshirted his first year on campus. But Rising transferred to Utah after the season. After sitting out in 2019, Rising started the 2020 COVID season opener against USC. But Rising injured his shoulder in the second quarter and was out for the remainder of the year. He lost the starting job to Charlie Brewer out of camp in 2021 but quickly won it back and led Utah to its first Pac-12 title and a Rose Bowl appearance. Rising was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference first team. He is majoring in Psychology and Criminology. Rising is the son of Nicko and Eunice Rising. He has two brothers.
