Sean
O’Connell

Sean is a Play-by-play announcer, radio host, and retired MMA fighter. Known for a reckless fighting style and crazy weigh-in antics, OC battled his way through the local and regional ranks before making a name for himself by winning multiple Fight of the Night Bonuses in the UFC. Along the way, OC balanced a sports radio career with his fighting pursuits, hosting shows in Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and on SiriusXM as part of the Pac 12 channel. In 2018 he became the first fighter in history to handle announcing duties and fight in the same night when he defeated tough Brazilian Ronny Markes in Chicago. O’Connell went on to win the Professional Fighters League’s inaugural Light Heavyweight season, capping his career with a million-dollar championship win at Madison Square Garden. After retiring on the spot, OC became the lead Play-by-Play broadcaster for the PFL on ESPN. He continues to pursue his passions outside of work in the form of family, travel, fiction writing, and food.
